Transparent ways to work with SOURCING ASAP

We keep product cost, service fee, and logistics as separate lines. You always know what you pay factories, what you pay us, and what you pay carriers. No hidden spreads, no “free sourcing” that is secretly paid for inside inflated unit prices.

How SOURCING ASAP charges for sourcing work

Many “China sourcing agents” either charge a percentage on product value or hide their fee inside factory pricing.

SOURCING ASAP separates these: product costs (what factories charge), service fee (what we charge for running the project), logistics (what freight and customs partners charge).

This makes it easier to compare quotes and to understand margins when you are planning Amazon FBA, Shopify, or wholesale pricing.

For bigger or more complex projects, we may mix a small project fee with performance-based adjustments instead of a flat percentage.

What you always see

  • Supplier quotes and chosen factory pricing
  • Our service fee as a separate line
  • Estimated inspection and logistics costs
  • Example landed-cost view for your product
INVOICE SUMMARY
Product Cost (Factory)$12,500.00
Service Fee$1,250.00
Logistics & Duty$3,400.00

Three ways brands usually work with SOURCING ASAP

Different brands need different levels of involvement. Instead of forcing you into one plan, we adjust how deep we plug into your operations.

Starter projects

For first-time importers and test runs

  • Lightweight sourcing support for 1–3 products.
  • Simple fee structure, focus on education and risk reduction.
  • Clear go / no-go moments before you send money to any factory.
  • Basic quality checks and freight guidance built in.

Scaling brands

For Amazon / Shopify brands with repeat orders

  • Ongoing sourcing, reorders, and new product development.
  • Systematic quality controls and better forecasting on lead time.
  • Deeper discussions on margin, pack sizes, and packaging.
  • Option for reduced per-project fees when volume stabilises.

Custom and enterprise

For retailers, distributors, and agencies

  • Multi-SKU, multi-factory coordination with consolidation.
  • Tailored communication and reporting structure.
  • Layered QC plans by product category and risk level.
  • Hybrid fee models that can mix project, retainer, and volume-based elements.

Sample project cost breakdown

To show how this works in reality, here is what a simple order might look like on paper. These are example numbers only, so you can see the structure, not a quote.

ItemCost
Product cost (factory)$12,500.00
SOURCING ASAP service fee$1,250.00
Quality inspections$300.00
Freight and duties estimate$3,400.00
Total Landed Cost$17,450.00

Example only – not a live quote.

• The exact mix changes by product and route.

• The key is seeing the categories separately so you can make decisions.

When SOURCING ASAP is the right type of partner

Good fit

  • You care about quality, timelines, and margin, not just the lowest unit price.
  • You are launching a serious product or scaling a brand, not placing a one-off gamble.
  • You value honest updates and risk warnings over “everything is fine”.
  • You are willing to share your numbers so we can help you think about margin and landed cost.

Not a good fit

  • You want the absolute cheapest unit price and nothing else matters.
  • You expect “free” sourcing but do not want transparency on how anyone gets paid.
  • You only place one tiny order and never plan to repeat it.
  • You want to hide key details or constantly change the brief mid-run.

Pricing questions we hear often

Do you offer “free sourcing” plans like some agents in China?

No. We believe someone always pays for the work. Instead of hiding the fee inside product costs, we separate our service fee so you can compare supplier quotes clearly.

Do you take a cut from factories on the side?

Our incentive is to get you competitive pricing and stable quality so you stay long term. We base our income on what we charge you, not hidden factory kickbacks.

Can you work on a pure percentage of order value?

For some simpler projects, yes. For more complex or multi-supplier projects, a mixed structure (project + percentage or volume-based) is usually more fair on both sides.

Is there a minimum project size?

We do have practical minimums that change by product type. If your project is too small for our model to make sense, we will tell you and suggest alternatives.

Do you lock me into long contracts?

No. We prefer to earn the next project by doing the current one well. For very large or enterprise programmes we might have a longer agreement, but always with clear terms.
